These kinds of things are called: 遊び歌 (asobiuta, songs sang before playing a game) or わらべうた (warabeuta, children's song). A more literal translation of the song is: だるまさん　だるまさん　にらめっこしましょ 笑うと負けよ　あっぷっぷ Daruma-sam, daruma-san, let's have a staring contest!
