Studio Documentary for 2023 solo exhibition Silence - The Messenger and the Metaphor, at Elysium, UK

A studio documentary made while working towards a solo exhibition at Elysium Gallery, Swansea, UK 2023. The exhibition is titled Silence - The Messenger And The Metaphor. @elysiumgallerytv2776 This solo exhibition at is her largest to date showing 5 years of work across 4 galleries. The work uses botanical colour - colour made from plants - to paint, print and dye the paper, canvas and panel. There a 7 large panel paintings using botanical colour on traditional gesso and over 40 prints on paper using botanical ink. There are also 2 installations, one containing over 40 hanging canvases and the other, cut-out 3-d paintings - both which you can walk around and through. The documentary features her making work, her outdoor wood-fired dye bath, she collects plants to make colour and talks of the long process of regeneratively growing, foraging and harvesting plant matter to extracting the colour to make the work.
