And then Miss Jane Hathaway arrives, Drysdale's razor-sharp executive secretary, takes one look at the Clampetts, and fires them all as incompetent servants. When Drysdale arrives and explains her mistake, Jed — with characteristic grace — tells her she has been like one of the family.
