Date when time was set: Evening of the 31st of August 2025 Carset Used: Sportscars 1971 (mod here http://www.gplworld.de/gplworld/en/gr... ) Vehicles Used: Porsche 917K and Porsche 908-03 Track Used: Brands Hatch Multiseason (BrandROC) by Denis Bertrand (db312), Greg Liebzeit (gliebzeit) and Matthias Montag (Matthias) (track here https://srmz.the-fastlane.co.uk/viewt... ) Similar to the earlier Porsche 917 showdown, this is a battle between a 5 Litre Porsche, represented by the 917K, and their smaller 3 Litre machine, the mighty Porsche 908. I love the lightweight cars in GPL, as fun as wresting a superheavy Can-Am might be, it is also very tiring to do. Just picking up a lightweight car and just wringing its neck and staying on the throttle all lap because it has insane grip to give, is always a blast. The Porsche 910 in the 1967 Sportscar mod was my favourite car to drive, the 908 is my favourite in the 1971 Sportscar selection. However, it remains to be seen with 2 cars being so different, where the speed differences would lie, and potentially, if one is faster than the other... Brands Hatch is a track I regularly use for testing to develop setups, its good mix of medium-to-high speed corners, some very long corners and a few much tighter corners give a good mix of sections where a setup needs to be able to work in multiple areas. On paper I thought that the track would be twisty enough that the 908 would be the clear favourite, however the fact this video exists suggests it mightn't be as clear cut as you'd think As usual for more recent cinematic battles like this it seems, The cameras tused are edited by myself from the original track cameras, a few different angles here and there, some different zoom levels and changeover points to get a bit more of a cinematic view in parts Chapters: 00:00 - Introduction 00:23 - TV Camera Lap 01:53 - Post-lap Analysis
