The Evo is the most versatile of Daniel Thomson’s Modern Planing Hull designs, shaped into accessible dimensions and fit for surfers from beginner to advanced. The Quad Inside Single Concave (QISC) bottom contours provide lift and acceleration in a variety of conditions, though it excels in the weaker end of the wave range. The parallel outline has excellent stability for both paddling and surfing and provides fantastic drive through turns. The Evo continues to maintain its position as one of the most easy to surf performance shapes on Earth. Ride the Evo as short as you can to get the most out of it, it has a 5 fin set up but for 90% of people a thruster set up works best but its does get surfed as a quad and also a twin with trailer.
