Baby flying-fox has a lick button: this is Beetle

Beetle is an orphaned Grey-Headed Flying-Fox pup aged around 4 weeks old. She was rescued when found on the ground on her mother who had a spinal fracture. She has only been in care for a day here, but she has adapted quite well and is dealing with being orphaned. She has the occasional very stressy moments where sh panics, spits her dummy then panics again because she's not hanging onto anything with her mouth. I was going to move her along to a carer today, but I think she probably needs another day with me until she has calmed down a little. I love to accidentally find a lick button, when you're stroking and massaging a baby and they start to lick when you hit one exact spot on their shoulder or side or neck. I also love to see a little (big) batty foot clutched somewhere, specially on "the dressing gown", then finding an alert little face with big bright eyes looking out at you, guilting you into realising it's dinner time.
