When you hear the phrase “sacred worth,” what comes to mind? Where do you see our culture ranking or measuring people’s value? 2. Read Isaiah 49:1-7. What stands out to you about God calling and naming a life before birth? Why do you think Isaiah includes the servant’s discouragement (“I have labored in vain”)? What does it mean to you that the servant is still “honored in the sight of the Lord”? 3. Looking at other Scriptures (such as Psalm 139, John 1, or Isaiah 49), what do you learn about how God views the sacred worth of people? Which Scripture or image stayed with you the most—and why? 4. When have you felt tempted to measure your worth by usefulness or productivity? Where do you struggle most to believe that your life still matters? How does this week’s sermon challenge the way you see yourself? 5. How might believing in sacred worth change the way you see others—especially those who are overlooked? What is one practical way you can honor the sacred worth of a person this week? Daily Reading Guide and Reflections 📅MONDAY — Isaiah 49:1. God speaks identity before a life is visible or understood. Sacred worth begins with God’s voice—not our awareness, success, or contribution. Practice: Today, quietly say: “My life is known and named by God.” 📅TUESDAY — Psalm 139:13–14. Sacred worth is not accidental. God forms life with intention and care. This truth invites humility when we are tempted to rank or reduce others. Question: Where might I need to slow down and see life as God sees it? 📅WEDNESDAY — Isaiah 49:4. Scripture does not ignore discouragement. Feeling unseen or unproductive does not erase a life’s value. God’s honor is not canceled by human disappointment. Prayer Prompt: “God, help me trust Your evaluation of my life more than my own.” 📅THURSDAY — John 1:42. Jesus looks at Simon and names who he will become. Sacred worth is confirmed by Christ, who sees beyond labels and limitations. Practice: Notice one person today whom others might overlook—and treat them with dignity. 📅FRIDAY — Micah 6:8. Sacred worth shapes how we live. When we honor life as God does, justice becomes compassionate, kindness becomes intentional, and humility becomes natural. Question: How can I live this weekend in a way that reflects God’s care for life? 📅 SATURDAY — Weekly Reflection. · Which Scripture stayed with you this week? · Where did you notice yourself becoming more aware of the value of life? · How is God inviting you to live differently because of what you’ve heard? Prayer:God, help me see life as You see it. Root me in Your truth, and guide me to live with compassion, courage, and care.
