The man on the bed will not awaken - he's partied too hard at the festival going on outside. Once you've collected as much gold as your pockets allow, head out the window next to the cabinet and cross over the street below on the beam. Hold/mash the interact button to jimmy open the window on the other side, then move through the curtains into the attic full of birds. After learning that birds are (A) jerks and (B) easily startled and equally noisy, move to the portrait and the other end of the room. Interact with it and scroll along its edges to find the switch that will open it, revealing a safe behind it. Pick the lock and open the safe to retrieve the collectible. After the pseudo-cutscene is over, exit via the nearby window and turn the corner to your right. There you'll find a box containing a rope arrow, which is convenient because you need it to get up to the next rooftop. Shoot the rope into the indicated grapple point and climb up to the roof and meet Erin. Once the cutscene ends, chase after Erin along the Thieve's Highway - essentially just hold down the sprint/climb key and move forward. You'll follow her over several rooftops and through an apartment, eventually ending up on the streets of Auldale. Erin has her claw tool, which she'll use to get ahead of you - move across the street and under the balcony, then climb up the ladder and follow her across the rooftop. She'll vault up to a window you can't reach, so cross the nearby pipe and use your blackjack to bring down the ladder. Move up to the roof, duck under the pipes and leap across to the next ledge to enter the Voyeur's apartment. Pick the lock on the door and move through the room to the next window. Exit the apartment by way of the window on the far wall, and cross above the street on the beam to interact with the window and enter the Drop Location. Northcrest Manor At the end of the cutscene, follow Erin behind the bushes to your right, and use your Swoop ability to cross through the light undetected. Clamber up and over the small terrace, and get into position to steal the guard's purse under the archway on your right. Erin will use her claw to run ahead again, leaving you to fend for yourself. Slowly cross the stream ahead of you - moving to fast will splash the water around and alert the guard - then swoop through the light and open the box to pick up a Water Arrow. Use the arrow to extinguish the torch across from the guard, and again slowly cross over the stream. Head up the stairs to trigger a brief cutscene. Once you regain control, sneak up behind the watchman and knock him out. You can move the body if you like, but this is the game's tutorial - no one's going to find him. After scolding Erin about some vague morality, move to the door she crosses to and pick the lock. Once through the door, pick up a glass bottle and throw it past the guard to distract him, allowing you to cross to the alcove on the other side of the path. If you want, you can speed this section up by taking another bottle and tossing it back in the direction you came from - otherwise, just wait for him to return to his post. Move out of the archway and climb up onto the ledge above via the stacked crates.
