Buy my music! http://familyjules7x.bandcamp.com/ https://loudr.fm/artist/familyjules7x... 200th video! One of the issues with covering some of the most popular songs is that if you don't add your own stuff in it, it's just lost in the sea of other covers. I made very slight changes, not because I thought they were better, but because I throught they would lend to my personal style and tone. Guile's theme is an absolute classic so it's tough to change it up but it's necessary. Let me put it to you this way, if Jimi Hendrix played All Along the Watchtower exactly like Bob Dylan, I guarentee it wouldn't have been as popular. I see a lot of comments not just on my stuff about putting too much of the artists interpretation into a song rather than playing it exactly how the original is. If you're one of those people, consider that an artist utilizing creative freedom isn't a mistake, it's the idea of why their doing it. Mixingand master was interesting here. I've been reverting back and forth a few lead guitar tones that a similiar in sound but not shape. Last week I tried a way more trebly tone since this one that I ended up using again is very lacking of natural treble. Turned out that it's easier to take away mids than take away treble from this tone so I reverted back to this tone. I get so many compliments on my rhythm tone but I still feel like I'm far away from what I'm trying to get out of it. Even with two videos left in Year 3, I'm still struggling to get the sound I want. It's a lifelong endevour I guess. The better you get at hearing this stuff, the more mature your ears get. It's almost like trying to get older than your older brother! Anyway, not a perfect analogy but I think you know what I mean. We're coming to a close! Next week is the last weekly single song in Year 3! It's very dear to my heart and I've been waiting a long time to do it. It's kinda in the same catagory of last year's second to last cover and you'll see why. :) Arranged and Performed by: FamilyJules7x Composed by: Yoko Shimomura & Isao Abe Rhythm Guitars: Gibson Explorer Acoustic Guitar: Fender T-Bucket 300CE Lead Guitars: Schecter Damien FR Bass Guitar: Ibanez Soundgear SR405QM Drums: Toontrack Superior Drummer Orchestra: Programmed with Eastwest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Interface: Line 6 Pod HD Pro Guitar Strap: Viper Strapz Guitar Pick: CSGuitar89 Custom 1.14mm Mixer: Yamaha MG102c Microphone: Audio-Technica AT2020 Audio Software: Mixcraft 6.1 Mastering Software: Izotope Ozone 5 Video Software: Adobe Premiere Pro Video Camera: Canon Eos Rebel T3i Get a 10% discount on Viper Strapz guitar straps by using the coupon code family7x over here: http://amzn.to/1bCazgX
