Root Touch Up & Color Boost: Part 1_ Bleaching My Roots with Splat Vegan Hair Dyes

Smart hair choices have never been my strong suit but I enjoy the process. I haven't bleached or re-dyed my hair in months and my roots were way over due! I thought that I would share the process with all of you. This is a two part series of the entire process and this is part one. This video I will be bleaching my roots. I wanted to try and go blue this time but unfortunately the bleach didn't lift as much pink as it has in the past. It actually didn't bleach out any but only lighten it slightly. It worked well on my roots but definitely pulled very yellow. Here is the link to watch video two!    • Root Touch Up & Color Boost Part 2: Applyi...   I'm using Splat vegan hair dyes. This is a boxed set that includes Bleach and the color dye. I've been using this for a few years now and it's gone pretty well. Their biggest downside is their bleeding and staining. You really need to invest in color removing wipes you can get at Sally's because this dye stains everything. Also be prepared to ruin your bedding and towels and any clothing if your hair gets damp or sweaty. They are super vibrant and color well but the bleeding issues really are a buzz kill. The bleach is pretty harsh but it's also the only bleach I have used so I can't really compare. It fried my hair one time and I have been fine since.
