Seattle drivers face delays as Revive I-5 reshapes morning commute patterns

Congested commutes and frustrated travelers are becoming an almost daily occurrence for drivers heading south into Seattle as Washington state’s largest-ever highway preservation project begins to reshape travel patterns across the region. Three weeks into the Revive I-5 project, and early data compiled by INRIX, a traffic analytics firm, shows southbound travel on Interstate 5 (I-5) and Interstate 405 (I -405) has slowed significantly during the morning commute. INRIX also found that the northbound evening travel has remained largely stable.
