IMPORTANT - When ordering a replacement window, subtract 1/4 to 1/2” inch from both the width and height to determine the exact replacement size. It will make room for expansion in the hot summer months and contraction in the cold winter months. It will also make it easier to install. I am putting in a replacement Pella® 150 Series vinyl double-hung window which features a clean design and half screen. IMPORTANT* - There is a “trim piece” that comes with each window and looks like a cap that sits on top of the new window as you are unwrapping the window. I mistakenly threw these out because I thought they were part of the packaging. They go on top of your replacement window as you install it.
