Maybe it's because I'm on maternity leave (& therefore have a much lower income than if I was working my regular hours), but JEEZ - INFLATION IS INSANITY RIGHT NOW!!! Even I'm feeling it at the grocery checkout when normally I couldn't tell you what a reasonable price for insert item here is... It seems to be costing more and more to stock up on baby food puree, but good gravy are those pouches handy! For us - extra handy considering Feliks still has trouble with self-feeding in the sense that everything has to be cut up into little pieces. Auggie is slowly branching out into new food territories, but he is very apprehensive and tends to gag on EVERYTHING (no joke). SO - here we are, muscling through our grocery bill with three growing boys, two of whom rely on the puree pouches for a large chunk of their food intake when out and about (and for snacks at home when this Mummy's hands are full with big and little brother). We're making our own puree today and using these amazing reusable silicone pouches by the brand ‪@haakaa_nz‬ : https://a.co/d/8ET3pxv This round I blended up: plain quick oats (cooked), steamed beets (yum!), and a full banana. Kasper enjoyed it immensely, Feliks liked the first one, but isn't used to the mouth feel of the silicone pouch (so it'll take a few tries for him to be okay with it), and Auggie being ever picky, was kinda meh about it. I'll aim for a different (less earthy) flavour profile next time and see how that works, All in all though, the pouches are AMAZING. soft, durable, easy to clean and to use. They stand up on their own, so they're also easy to fill without a funnel. Highly recommend!
