I previously used a digital wheel for my TBR Game, which was fun, but I wanted to make something more me. Since August is Women In Translation Month, I’ve tried to pick as many books as I could that were written in another language than Dutch or English. I’ve selected books from China, Iran, Brazil, Hungary and well, technically Greece, but a very old one, haha. Let me know if you’re participating this year. I roll one dice and the circle I land on refers to either a genre, a TBR card or both. There are also a few individual tiles. Based on that, I picked a book that matches the prompt. What’s what? If the circle has a silver lining, I need to pick a card as well as read from the genre. Genres: ♥️ historical fiction 💜 modern classic 💙 a classic before 1900 💚 contemporary 💛 non fiction 🧡 poetry Others: 🟣 pick a TBR CARD ⚪️ JA/TM/VW: backlist from authors I want to read (Jane Austen, Toni Morrison, Virginia Woolf) ⚪️ 20: a random number generator will pick a book from my top 20 classics list. ⚪️ +1: I have to add an extra throw ⚪️🐾 my two cats will pick a book ⚪️📞 a friend will pick a book Rules: 👉 I start the next game at the tile I ended on the previous game. 👉 If I’ve not finished a book from my previous TBR, I have to go back a tile. (The same number as the number of books I didn’t finish.
