Talk Title: Honor, Ethics, and AI: Clarifying Integrity in PA Education Amid the AI Revolution Bio (Dr. Ip): Dr. Ip is the Director of Student and Faculty Scholarship and is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Primary Care. Dr. Ip received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from UC Davis, his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from UCSF School of Pharmacy, and completed his post-graduate residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. He established and currently co-leads the Diabetes/Cardiovascular Management Program as a clinical pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente Mountain View Medical Offices. Additionally, Dr. Ip serves as the Director of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) Certificate Program. Dr. Ip is one of the leading researchers in anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs. Bio (Dr. Miller-Kuhlmann): Rebecca Miller-Kuhlmann, MD is board certified in Neurology and in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and practices as a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology & Neurological Sciences at Stanford University. She earned her MD from UCSF School of Medicine and completed residency and fellowship training at Stanford University. Her fellowship training in Comprehensive Clinical Neurology centered around movement disorders, memory/cognitive disorders neuromuscular medicine/EMG/NCS studies, and therapeutic applications of botulinum toxin with supplementary training in headache, epilepsy and neuroimmunology. Her clinical focus is diagnosis and treatment of neurologic conditions with commitment to maintaining a wide-breadth of knowledge in order to best treat complex patients with multiple neurologic issues. Bio (Dr. Nelson): Dr. Nelson is the Director of Pre-Clerkship Education and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Primary Care. She completed her PA education in the Stanford/Foothill College Primary Care Associate Program and received a Master of Medical Science Degree from St. Francis University. She has been practicing clinically and working in PA education since 2015. She is passionate about justice and health equity and is a founding member and Co-Chair of the diversity, equity and inclusion committee of the MSPA program, called BE HEARD (Belonging, Empathy, Health Equity, Anti-Racism, and Diversity). Her clinical experience includes cardiac critical care medicine, trauma and acute care surgery, and urgent care medicine. When not working with the MSPA program, she works in the Stanford Express Care Clinic.
