On August 3rd, a new volcanic eruption began in Iceland. This occurred adjacent to the where Geldingadalir famously erupted in 2021. While this was ongoing, volcanic activity also began occurring 240 kilometers away at another Icelandic volcano; Grimsvotn. There, a swarm of earthquakes occurred, resulting in its alert level being raised from green to yellow. So, what will happen next? Should you worry about an eruption from this glacier covered volcano? This video will answer these two questions and discuss the ongoing seismic unrest.
