This is a walkthrough in Normal difficulty of Dunes, a level in the Serious Sam: The First Encounter Internal Test prototype, dated October 21st, 2000. Several secrets are missing in this version Dunes, such as the palm tree with the heart item near it and the ones inside the inner arena. Dunes is notable for being the only level in the prototype that has a Highlander Reptiloid, who is smaller and shoots different projectiles than his final incarnation. Instead of rapid-firing very fast projectiles, he shoots the Common Reptiloid's homing projectiles with an early version of the skin used on the final Highlander's projectiles. He's also a bit smaller than he ended up as. It has plenty of notes from the level designer appear throughout the level. These appear to be used to mark the end of certain waves.
