The 50th anniversary of Penn and Teller, where they started their careers, on the crown stage at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, Shakopee, MN. August 16th, 2025. This video captures Penn and Teller's 50th Anniversary performance at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. The duo performs several tricks and shares anecdotes about their career: Introduction and Polyester Trick (0:00-6:08): Penn and Teller are introduced and then perform a trick where they seemingly mend a torn piece of polyester using only their minds, with audience participation from a young girl named Amara. East Indian Needle Mystery (7:08-12:58): Teller performs a classic trick where he appears to swallow multiple needles and a thread, then produces them all threaded together from his mouth. Card Trick with Audience Participation (13:09-18:47): Penn and Teller perform a mind-reading card trick where an audience member, Jane, thinks of a card and writes it on Teller's forehead, only for Teller to produce the same card from a deck in his pouch. Penn's Juggling Act and Knife Juggling (18:50-23:05): Penn reminisces about his early days as a juggler at the Renaissance Festival 50 years ago and attempts to recreate his old juggling act with wooden balls and then attempts to juggle heavy knives. Donut on a Ribbon Trick and Inner Tube Variation (23:10-27:07): Penn and Teller demonstrate and explain a classic "donut on a ribbon" trick, then show their more elaborate version using an inner tube and a rope, which is topologically impossible to remove without cutting. Passing the Hat (27:17-28:07): The performance concludes with Penn and Teller "passing the hat," a traditional street performer's way of collecting donations, humorously stating they are keeping all the money.
