Interesting note for folks unfamiliar with the reality of film schools today. Take a look at this page: http://www.afi.com/Conservatory/alumn... - note the "successful" alumni from AFI and see that there are NO names of grads after 2005. Most are from the 90s, 80s, and 70s. Bear in mind this isn't a list of Oscar winners, it's just people who have actually directed a feature. What is happening to all the recent grads of big name film schools? Few are directing. Most are interning, doing grunt work with no clue of how to actually direct their own movies.
