The Lamborghini Revuelto is here, with 1,001 horsepower, a naturally aspirated V12 engine, and … 3 electric motors? That’s right: The Revuelto is a hybrid, and it’s Lamborghini’s new flagship supercar to replace the last big Lamborghini: the Aventador. Prices for the Revuelto start around $600,000. Lamborghini’s lineup for the future will be the Urus SUV, the Temerario supercar, and the Revuelto. Modern Lamborghini has two main supercars, and the last era of the automaker featured the Huracán and Aventador as those two cars. (The Huracán was the cheapest, and the Aventador was the most expensive. The Urus has a lot more ground clearance.) Now, the new models are here. The Revuelto replaces the Aventador, while the Temerario (a twin-turbo V8 with 3 electric motors that makes 907 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque) takes over for the Huracán. “Temerario” always sounds like a Ferrari name to me, but in reality, it’s a Ferrari competitor. Driving the Revuelto is incredible. It has EV mode, letting you leave neighborhoods or quiet places without a sound, then you can twist a knob to cold start the V12. The acceleration mixes electric elasticity with pure V12 emotion, sound, and speed, letting you race across the track or rip up to speed in the canyons. The exhaust is as exhilarating as the performance. The instrument clusters show you so much information and display a progressive redline, whose status creeps toward 9,500 rpm as the engine warms up. No more guessing how long you have to wait before your first run for speed or time, because the car just tells you! I drove the Revuelto at Lamborghini’s She Drives a Lambo event, where the company invited out owners (and me) to drive in the desert. They brought me a Revuelto from the Verde color family, and with all the other car colors, we looked like a Skittles commercial. There are just a few bits of the Revuelto that could be improved, but the car is nearly perfect. For the price, that’s expected ; ) Thanks for watching my YouTube channel.
