My Second Year of Piano Progress 2025 marked my second year of piano. I continued doing weekly lessons with my teacher and working through the Faber Piano Adventures series. After finishing the all-in-one Adult Piano Adventures book 2, I tackled some pieces from its Classics and Popular companion books. I then moved into Level 3B. Since much of the theory in 3B overlapped with my previous studies, I didn’t go through the entire book. Instead, I made a list and chose to focus on specific and more challenging pieces. By year-end, I moved onto Level 4, where I have already completed the first two pieces. I didn’t track my practice time, but I estimate about an hour of practice per day on average, totaling roughly 330 hours for the year (considering the days I missed). My learning process remains the same: I start each piece by practicing hands separately, then gradually play with hands together. Always using a metronome and increasing the tempo until I reach the desired level. For the videos included here, I try several takes and choose the one I feel turned out best. 00:00 - Intro Months 1 to 2: Finishing Adult Piano Adventures 2 00:30 - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik 00:52 - Wedding March 01:26 - Liebestraum No. 3 01:59 - Fiesta España 02:30 - Sea Chanty 02:59 - Musetta’s Waltz 03:50 - Pachelbel’s Canon Months 3 to 6: Pieces from Classics and Popular 2 04:48 - Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring 05:30 - Rondeau in D Minor 06:15 - Prelude (from Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major) 07:04 - Winter (from The Four Seasons) 07:45 - Pathétique Sonata Theme 08:47 - Claire de Lune 10:23 - Hey Jude 11:22 - Piano Man Month 7: Starting Level 3B and my first Chopin! 12:29 - The Medieval Piper 13:06 - Mysterious Ballet 13:40 - Waltz in A Minor Months 8 to 11: Progressing through Level 3B 14:45 - Legend of Madrid 15:29 - Whispers of the Wind 16:34 - Minuet in G 17:22 - Liebestraum No. 3 18:10 - Hava Nagila 18:45 - All Through the Night 19:09 - The Piano Playin’ Chocolate Eater’s Blues 19:49 - Swing Low, Sweet Chariot 20:25 - Blue Danube Waltz 20:48 - Bagatelle in G 21:28 - On Wings of Song Month 12: Finishing Level 3B and starting Level 4 22:00 - The Star-Spangled Banner 23:04 - Aurora Borealis 23:49 - Maple Leaf Rag Thanks for watching!
