In this video we will look at the non-working model of the Soviet manual machine gun Degtyarev DP-27 ! Assembled entirely from LEGO ! The model is made by me personally in real 1:1 scale. DP (Degtyarev infantry index GAU-56-R-321) - manual machine gun developed by V. Degtyarev. DP became one of the first samples of small arms created in the USSR. The first ten serial DP machine guns were manufactured at the Kovrov plant 12 Nov 1927 then a batch of 100 guns was transferred to the military tests the results of which 21 Dec 1927 machine gun was adopted for red army service. In 1939, for the ski units of the red army was developed light anti-aircraft installation-tripod to the machine gun DP. The gun was used in large quantities as a primary weapon fire support to infantry platoon level—company until the end of the great Patriotic war. The manual machine gun DP is the weapon with automatic equipment on the basis of removal of gunpowder gases and shop food. The gas engine has a piston with a long stroke and a gas regulator located under the barrel. The barrel is easily removable partially hidden by a protective casing and equipped with a removable conical flash Hider (early editions had no flash suppressor and thread the barrel for it). Power was provided from flat disk shops - "plates" in which cartridges were located on a circle, bullets to the center of a disk. This design provided a reliable supply of cartridges with a protruding edge, but had significant drawbacks: large size and weight of the empty magazine, inconvenience in transportation and loading, as well as the possibility of damage to the store in combat conditions due to its tendency to deformation. In 1941, during the battle of Moscow in the army was transferred to the test machine gun DP with a silencer but mass production of this modification was not started. The first case of combat use of the DP machine gun took place in 1929, during the fighting on the KVZHD. The DP infantry machine gun was installed on small torpedo boats of the G-5 type as a self-defense weapon.
