说起林明 Sungai Lembing 这个小镇, 很多马来西亚人未必知道它的具体位置，甚至不知道它究竟有什么特点值得我们去留意它。如果不是因为同行去关丹的朋友说去林明镇探索一下，想必我不会特地从吉隆坡大老远过来这个只有一条大街道的小镇。 当我们驶进了林明镇的那一刻，我对眼前的景象完全被征住了，我感觉到自己回到了小时候的那个年代，那里的一景一物，都像极了六，七时年代，连空气，味道，感觉，都那么的熟悉。 不消片刻，我就彻彻底底的爱上了这个小镇，也开始质问自己为何时至今日才过来这个仅离开吉隆坡约3个小时的地方，虽然有些相逢恨晚的感觉，但是我还是非常欣慰，因为我又发掘了一个在马来西亚的好地方。 林明虽然不大，但是，它有历史，有故事，有美食，有云海，有古庙，有古老的吊桥，有瀑布；而且我发觉到这里的人比较纯朴，人情味也比较浓，让你随时可以和当地人愉快的唠嗑，侃大山。 如果你是喜欢古迹，喜欢历史，喜欢慢活，喜欢品尝当地美食，喜欢大自然，那么林明将是一个值得去探索的地方。 Sungai Lembing, definitely one of my most favorite travel destinations in Malaysia now. I was totally unfamiliar with this small little village, until my friend who suggested to pay it a visit after our short getaway in Kuantan, Pahang. From the moment we drove into the village, automatically I fell in love with this place. I once thought I time travelled back to my childhood where the whole surrounding of the place just looked exactly like the small village I was born in Ipoh. The air, the smell, the feeling.... In the Malay language, “Sungai” means river while “Lembing” means spear. Sungai Lembing was developed into a tin mining central in the 1900s by the British under the Pahang Consolidated Company Limited. Sungai Lembing is just about 3.5 hour driving from Kuala Lumpur. If you like nature, you would love to hike up to the peak point of Panorama Hill where you will see sun rise and morning mist (if the weather condition is good). If you love food, you will be amazed with the local noodles, dou fu, desserts, biscuits etc.. If you have not been to Sungai Lembing before, I would strongly suggest about this place for your next travel destination in Malaysia. Do plan to stay for 3-day and 2-night, and I would believe you may fall in love with this place instantly just like me. Of course, if you are a person who enjoys shopping at mega malls, dining at fine restaurants, sipping liquor at night while listening to live band, in that case Sungai Lembing may not be appropriate.
