NVIDIA's new Smooth Motion feature allows extra frame generation in games that don't support DLSS or Frame Generation — as long as they run on DirectX 11/12 or Vulkan. Most online games block this tech due to anti-cheat systems, but I successfully tested it in Fortnite and share my impressions in this video. In my opinion, there’s no point in lowering graphics settings just to chase astronomical FPS numbers. You should adjust the visuals to match your monitor’s maximum refresh rate. In my case, with a 138Hz display, my current settings — 4K on Ultra — run almost perfectly. After enabling NVIDIA Smooth Motion, I’m getting between 120 and 135 FPS. I get that it’s not for everyone. Competitive players usually aim for under 15 ms input lag — with Smooth Motion I get around 20 ms, vs 16 ms without it. In return, I can play on 4K Ultra settings, which is visually nicer, even if not gameplay-optimized. 🧪 All you need is RTX 40/50 series card and: • GeForce Game Ready Driver 581.15 → 🔗 https://uk.download.nvidia.com/Window... • NVIDIA App 11.0.4.545 → 🔗 https://us.download.nvidia.com/nvapp/... 📦 Updated list of drivers supporting Smooth Motion on RTX 40 series GPUs ⬇️ • 581.15 (Aug 21, 2025) – ✅ YES (RTX 40 & 50 series GPUs) • 581.08 (Aug 15, 2025) – ✅ YES (RTX 40 & 50 series GPUs) • 580.97 (Aug 07, 2025) – ❌ NO (only RTX 50 series GPUs) • 580.88 (Jul 31, 2025) – ❌ NO (only RTX 50 series GPUs) • 577.00 (Jul 22, 2025) – ❌ NO (only RTX 50 series GPUs) • 590.26 (Jul 16, 2025) – ✅ YES (RTX 40 & 50 series GPUs) 🛒 If you'd like to support the channel — or grab my USB Hub — it’s already available on eBay UK ⬇️ 🔗 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154816474118 🧡 You can now support the channel directly via PayPal — and if you donate over £50, I’ll send you a free USB Hub with international shipping. 😎 https://tinyurl.com/firstever-youtube 👍 This video took nearly 2 days to make, so if you enjoy it — leave a like, drop a comment, and subscribe.
