when you examine a patient undergoing RCT elsewhere and consults you with a flare up in the form of pain & from diagnostic RVG image if you are suspecting a perforation or if iatrogenic error occurs in your hand wherein if you are suspecting a root perforation...how do you confirm? Do you ask for CBCT ??? Bcz RVG may not be of great help if the root perforation is on the buccal or lingual surface. Magnification would definitely help If the perforation is in the crown or in the straight portion of the canal with the reference of bleeding point. But how about a simple technique wherein you can confirm without applying rubberdam, without using a microscope and without even administering local anaesthesia !!
