This Thanksgiving we went to Ami and Tristan's house. Tom made some nice big cheesecakes and I intended to make a pumpkin pie, but I wasn't feeling well the day before Thanksgiving. (It turned out that I passed a bladder stone the day after Thanksgiving.) Grandpa and Levi, my sister Bethany's husband, were disappointed that there wouldn't be a pumpkin pie, so Ami dug in her cupboard and found a can of pumpkin and Aubrey (Ami's daughter) and I cobbled together a pie with what Ami had in the house. It turned out just fine. We spent most of the day visiting and playing. On the way home, we stopped by Grandma Kitty's house to visit for awhile. (She had spent Thanksgiving with Jerry, Suzie and Mileena as Mileena doesn't really like going elsewhere.) Hadley spent the night with us that night. Two days after Thanksgiving, we had a pancake breakfast at my Uncle Steve and Aunt Dana's house. The weather was a bit yucky and most everyone had just come recently for Grandma Fern's birthday party, so attendance was much lower than usual. Still, we had a great time visiting and I was very surprised when Uncle Randy and Aunt Rebecca arrived with Grandma Fern. Grandma had been adamant that she wasn't going to get out in the cold.
