This makes Bhupali one of the most wonderful Ragas for meditation. I "learnt" this raga when I was seven years old. In fact, this was the first Indian raga I learnt when I started learning to play Harmonium as kid. It is a simple pentatonic scale. However, I keep finding that every few years I seem to rediscover this Raga and understand it in ways I never before did. This piece represents free improvisation in the Raga. Close your eyes, focus on your breath and let the music submerge you.
