This is the very first restoration test we did with the raw scan from Carnivol last year, which was just some dirt and dust removal on the credits sequence. It is not perfect and you can see the details in Mario's shoes go wonky, but we used this as a starting point to figure out how much was too much and tweaked things from there to avoid detail loss like this. This was before any color correction was done and before any vertical scratch removal (much of which was not the most possible) was attempted, so it's pretty much the very first test and stage of the process.
