Week 1 in KOH SAMUI / Training at 3 Muay Thai Gyms, First Solo Trip, New Food [Dec 24] 🇹🇭

WEEK 1 LIVING IN THAILAND - Join me as I kick off my solo adventure in Koh Samui, exploring Muay Thai gyms, indulging in local food, and soaking up the island vibes! 🌴 This trip is full of “firsts” for me: my first scooter ride, my first time solo traveling, and my first Muay Thai experience! 🏍️🥋 Each of these gyms made me feel so comfortable, teaching me so much. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro, these gyms are all beginner-friendly and great places to dive into training. GYM 1: Punch It Gym Brand new facility with accommodation, a cafe, icebath, small weights area and a shop. Lots of knowledgeable trainers available for private sessions and group classes are very structured so no time is waisted. They also offer a kids class so you can drop your kid off to burn some energy or train at the same time without distraction. GYM 2: Lamai Muay Thai Located right by the beach, this gym gives you the perfect setting for both training and relaxation with just a 2 min walk away to the beach. I really liked this gyms group classes too, similar to punch it. Lots of trainers so they are able to help everybody. They have an outdated weights area and a small shop as well. GYM 3: Jun Muay Thai More family style classic gym. No weights or any extras (there is a small smoothie stand) but the training is still amazing. Less trainers and smaller group but the quality is still top notch. 10 people in group class compared to 40 - 50 people at the others.
