This step-by-step Fusion 360 project is perfect for anyone learning CAD for 3D printing. If you’ve been following my Fusion 360 beginner series, this is a great real-world project to apply what you’ve learned. In this video, I break the design into three clear stages: • Designing a screw neck in Fusion 360 to fit a standard soap pump • Creating the main cylindrical body • Cutting the internal cavity (hollowing the body) so it can hold liquid You’ll learn how to use essential Fusion 360 tools for 3D printing, including sketching, extrude, revolve, and creating internal features for functional designs. Once the design is complete, we move into Bambu Studio, slice the model, choose the right 3D printing settings, and print it on my Bambu A1. This project shows how Fusion 360 can be used to create practical, functional 3D printed objects — not just practice shapes. If you're learning Fusion 360 for 3D printing, this beginner-friendly CAD project will help you gain confidence designing real-world parts. If you make one, let me know in the comments — I’d love to see your version. The STL file is available in the description if you’d like to download and print it yourself.
