Our team is back on site making significant progress on the new staircase installation. Today, we began by performing precision sanding using the Festool RTS 400, equipped with 220-grit sanding pads, ensuring a smooth and even surface. Following this, we applied a high-quality caulking to seal any gaps, allowing it to dry before proceeding with our next step. Once the caulking had fully cured, we conducted a thorough microfiber cleaning to remove any dust and debris, preparing the surface for the application of primer. We then applied a generous first coat of STIX waterborne bonding primer, utilizing the FFLP 308 spray nozzle to ensure an even and flawless coverage. After allowing the primer to fully dry, we completed a light sanding with surface prep fine sanding pads on the RTS to achieve a perfectly smooth finish. This step ensures that the first topcoat will adhere beautifully, resulting in a glass-like finish.
