Reimagine Public Safety Pledge Workshop: Key Elements of Successful CVI Programs

Successful Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs include a collaborative effort between local government and the community to tackle the root causes of gun violence holistically. These programs target those at the highest risk of facing violence in their communities but approach the work through a lens of racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic equity. In this workshop, participants will learn the features of CVI programs that have resulted in positive outcomes for the communities in which they’ve been implemented as well as receive guidance on how to best engage stakeholders to support these programs.
