On Exercise IRON STORM the Welsh Battlegroup were the first to be validated at the German urban combat facility names 'Schnöggersburg'. On an area of 6 sq kilometres, the facility encompasses 550 buildings, a 16 km road network, an 800 metre river bed, a 600 Meter tunnel system with 20 entry and exit points and a subway station...but void of inhabitants. The place is a ghost town located at Altmark training area in eastern Germany.
