Global equity gains amid mixed macroeconomic data Global equities delivered positive returns in February, supported by improving inflation data with especially strong performance in regions such as Japan and Asia ex‑Japan. Despite a positive return in February, North American equities have suffered the worst relative start to the year against the rest of the world. Whilst geopolitical developments since the start of March have added volatility, we maintain a mildly constructive outlook. The value of securities and the income from them can fall as well as rise.
