Palermo was incredible! Definitely a must visit city for anyone interested in medieval history. List of Sites Visited: Church of San Cataldo Church of Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio I Segreti del Chiostro (the Cannoli! We went twice!) Monastero and Church of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria La Vucciria Street Market (with the seafood! So good we went twice!) Palermo CathedralPalazzo dei Normanni & Capella Palentina Sfrigola (The arancina rice balls!) San Giovanni degli Eremiti (Church of St. John the Hermit) Gelateria Nonnino (BEST Ice cream and Gelato we found in Palemo) Cooking with Francesa in Bagharia (booked via Airbnb) Ponte Dell’ammiraglio Foro Italico Bisso Bistrot (nice food for a decent price) Osteria Ballarò (fanciest food we had, good but not worth the price. Go to Bisso instead!) Cefalù and the Cefalù Cathedral Zisa Palace (get the audio tour) Frati Minori Cappuccini (Capuchin Catacombs) Buatta Cucina (the spaghettio looking pasta— not worth the price, but still tasty) Monreale and Monreale Cathedral Mastunicola Pizza Quattro Canti (fun for walking, but don’t get food or souvenirs here!)
