Hiking to Sombrero De Chasna | Tenerife Travel | 4K

A beautiful, high altitude hike, that initially follows paths through the Corona Forestal pine forest before reaching high ground just below the caldera rim. Once above the treeline, the views from the caldera rim are spectacular with stunning views of Teide and the Las Canadas National Park. This route then climbs onto the rounded dome of Sombrero de Chasna. You may find that the altitude leaves you a little breathless at times as the highest points of the walk reach around 2,400 mtrs/8,000ft. The walk can also be started from the ruined Casas de Fuente Fria, although parking is limited at this point.
