Video shows our visit to the wonderful Ickworth House Estate. The House is just outside Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The House was passed to the National Trust in 1956 following 500 years in the Hervey family. The estate was mentioned in the Doomsday book. The house is distinct for its spectacular Rotunda. It also houses an extensive silver collection. In the gardens is one of the oldest Itallianette gardens in the UK. There are over 1800 acres with various marked walks and cycle routes through the stunning parklands and woods. Cycles can be hired on site of you may bring your own. We were only able to take a short walk through the walled garden and around the lake but we were still able to appreciatte the wonderful views on the estate. deffinately one we would visit again to explore further around the walks and cycle paths on offer.
