The original 1903 architecture and history of this space as a Masonic Lodge really created a special feel for this video, I couldn't have imagined shooting this anywhere else! http://www.theloftonpine.com/ ________________________ Story behind the song: I've been a big fan of James Taylor ever since growing up and listening to my parents play his music on weekend drives - although I never learned to play guitar, I've made piano arrangements for a few of his songs and this continues to be my favorite. When talking the video concept through with Joel we agreed that we wanted to create the effect that a fire had just finished burning and we were literally filming in the aftermath and (miraculously) the piano survived the blaze ;) We experimented with a few ideas and settled on using a low-lying fog machine which blew fog solution through a cooler of dry ice which helped keep the smoke from filling the entire room :) The toughest part was not slipping on the floor at the at the end of the night given the 6+ hours we were running the fog machine! Thanks to Angstrom Lighting in Hollywood for their help making this video come to life too :) http://angstromlighting.com/ Hope you enjoy it - thanks for listening & sharing :)
