Check here my other channel here    / @milogamereviews   Dark Deception is a indie horror game that has been conquering the hearts of many Horror YouTubers over the past few years. I have to admit that I was not very impressed when I saw the first chapter with the monkeys and the hotel. It looked more like YouTube bait with lots of jump scares and frantic gameplay. But I am happy that I finally took the plunge so many chapters later and absolutely fell in love with this gem of a game! What makes it so good and awesome is that each level has their own twist, flavor and unique mechanics to keep the experience varied. You can see how the developers gained more experience over time as each chapter is better than the previous one. The upgrading mechanics are very useful and offer great motivation to keep playing. The background lore is also very interesting and hints at a deeper meaning of all the levels. Overall, this is yet another example why one should not judge a book by it's cover. Though initially I thought it was a simple first-person Pac-Man simulator, the end result was so much more, and I absolutely adore it. The only thing I had some problems with is that the game is quite buggy, especially towards the end chapters.
