⚠️ We were carrying medicine in our hands… when another boat almost hit us.🛶💊 👇 We were on our way to reach Lib Muket — an IDP site deep inside Dasenech Woreda, cut off by the devastating floods of the Omo River. This isn’t a film. This is real. 📍 South Ethiopia, Dasenech Woreda 🛶 Roads gone. 🏥 Two health facilities destroyed. 👶 Thousands of children malnourished. More than 79,000 people displaced. We didn’t have funding. We didn’t have comfort. We are just READIO Ethiopia Volunteers But we had to move — because people were waiting. So we packed what we had. Wrapped medicine in plastic. Walked in 40°C heat. And we stayed — not for days… but for two full months. 💡 Tested for malaria 💡 Triaged patients under the sun 💡 Gave nutrition support to pregnant mothers 💡 Screened children using MUAC 💡 Delivered home-to-home care for the bedridden This is Part 2 of our volunteer journey. This is what happened when we finally reached Lib Muket IDP site — not with luxury, but with love. Not with cameras, but with commitment. 🎥 Watch the video. You’ll feel every step of this journey. Because sometimes, the people who have the least… teach us what it means to give the most. 👇 If this story moved you: ❤️ Like 💬 Comment your thoughts 🔁 Repost and tag someone who believes in real humanitarian action. #READIOEthiopia #healthforall DasenechResponse #HumanitarianHeroes #healthequity
