Restoring and customising a Lesney Matchbox No. 33C Lamborghini Miura, in the Matchbox range from 1968, switching to Superfast wheels in 1969, and remained in the series until 1973. The paint condition was poor but passable. But thats not the real reason for this video. It more highlights the lack of trim applied to the late regular wheels and early Superfast era Matchbox cars suffered from. So much detail, so much interest, all lost to a solid paint colour. So I restore the regular wheels car, and I get a Superfast car in a similar condition, and go to town on it. The full whack custom. I swapped out the wheels, filled in the louvres, added two-tone side skirts, and did all the extensive chrome, black, red and orange detailing. I think I just about did the Miura justice!
