New concept - PROOF OF LIFE Project for all of the Members of our HS graduating class showing 10 days in October/November 2024, time lapse of cleaning around the blue house: raking and blowing the leaves over and over from the same places, cutting down some branches, closing/winterizing the garden, folding down for the winter, cleaning commercial gutter on the 6-car garage, moving some left over wood boards to the back to make space for another parking place, etc... I asked M many times if he wanted to help, but I guess he didn't. I'd like to teach him what to do around the house so he knows in the future but... So perhaps this film is my message sent to his future - he can watch some day and enjoy the work. Truly this is a pleasure for me. My mom used to say - "I feel alive" - while working in the garden. The weather is beautiful, dry, hard leaves fall down and make this specific noise. Even when I am in the kitchen - I hear the falling leaves. This makes me "not alone". I remember in Kraków - walking in the park - all those magnificent colors... This is the best time of the year. Unfortunately, I can't go biking. This old guy hit my rack and bent it so I can't carry the bikes... The new rack for only 3 bikes and very flimsy compared to the old one - is $1,200. I love working around the blue house in any season, can't wait for Magda's chimney to be finished - so I can resume the leaf collection... Krakowiaki/Pelargoniums - my Mom's favorite flowers - are still blooming in red... First person from my HS graduating class - Kasia Stefańska - has died. All the members are meeting @ her grave next Friday - November 8th 2024 - Tomek Guderski just sent the email with this sad announcement. I wish I could be there with them... That gave me an idea: Every year for the fall or Christmas time - we all should produce a picture or a short film about each classmate - and send it to the rest of us. This would be the PROOF OF LIFE project, so we would know that the rest of us are still here... Film should present something that you can still do, something difficult or dangerous, something unusual for you to do @ your age...Something you are proud of, something special... This film about me doing the fall cleaning around the blue house fits perfectly as such a project - proving that I can still move, but of course it doesn't mean anything as I can have terrible growing cancer and die of it tomorrow.. Text for this film: There are still so many leaves on this tree...All these leaves came down since last time I was cleaning the front sidewalk...Dead battery replacement...Third time back on the front...New fallen leaves in the garden...Preparing piles of leaves for Sunday collection...Collecting leaves with rake only not to make a noise on Sunday, Cleaning all the pots, removing old plants...Arranging the pots on the upper shelves...Cutting down the tomato plants, collecting green tomatoes...Krakowiaki - my Mom's favorite red flowers - are still blooming... Now I have to remove it...Healthy cooking - fish sticks, memory sticks (cheese), potatoes with bacon...Finally some moving clouds in the blue sky showing time lapse action...Look - how many leaves are still on the trees - so this film will never be over...The wind will not let me blow the leaves in, so I have to change the direction...Cleaning the 6" wide, 60' (20 m) long commercial gutter on the 6-car-garage stand alone building - packed full with fallen leaves...Usually I clean this gutter straight to the hanging garbage bucket, I throw the leaves on the ground only to show how much stuff was accumulated inside the gutter...All this stuff is from the gutter...Fourth time back on the front...Two garbage cans - one for fallen leaves and the other for the garbage from my new neighbors who empty their cars straight on the street...Cleaning the newly fallen leaves in the garden...Opening the gates to the garden cage and collecting the fallen leaves...Watering the roses, porzeczki, agrest, Krakowiaki, and the tree... Fall is my favorite season, not only because of the beautiful photogenic colors, but also because of the falling leaves creating this opportunity for an active lifestyle - raking while cardio exercising around the blue house...
