New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed new details about two suspects accused of throwing an improvised explosive device near the residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Authorities say both individuals admitted they were inspired by ISIS propaganda. One suspect allegedly told officers on body camera footage that he carried out the attack because of “ISIS,” while investigators say he later told police he had watched ISIS propaganda on his phone before the incident. Officials said the second suspect made spontaneous statements after their arrest.
