Mary Cheney: Hey everybody, it's Mary Cheney, marketing manager here at VoIP Supply. Today, we're going to be unboxing Viking Electronics Vandal Resistant's VoIP panel phone. So let's get to it. So all of their guides have a little image of everything that should be included in the box. So all the smart pieces are typically in a little bag here and it'll tell you the count of those pieces. And then there's the actual device and you can see the back of this. Now let's learn about the device's features and functionalities. The Viking Electronics VoIP panel phones will autodial a one to 20-digit programmable phone number each time the handset is lifted. If the call is not answered, the phone will dial up to three additional phone numbers. This series of phones is designed to provide quick and reliable communication for SIP VoIP phone systems with POE. These units can be programmed from any PC on the same LAN or remotely using a static IP address. The vandal-resistant features of these phones include a 14-gauge 316 stainless steel front panel with permanent laser-etched graphics. It includes a heavy-duty metal hook switch, armored cable and T10 security Torx drive mounting screws. The amplified handset on these devices makes them hearing aid compatible and includes a sealed push button for volume control. There is also network downloadable firmware available. Applications for these devices include commercial or residential door gate entrances, kiosk phones, apartment entry phone, door entry phone, courtesy assistance phone, customer service phone, automated teller ATM phone, security or emergency phone, a hotline phone or a prison phone. Let's take this device over to our VoIP engineer to get this up and running. Joe: Thank you, Mary. Today I'm going to show you how easy it's going to be. To SIP register the IP Viking device, open up the Viking IP programming tool you can download from their website. Shows that the unit is not registered. Let's check the SIP settings. Go over to IP settings. Add the SIP server you want to register the device to. Again, if you're not using a proxy server, they still want you to add the proxy address as the SIP server. And then the caller ID, I'm just going to say handset. Okay. Apply. Connect back to the device. Go over to the alarm firmware default tools, and then you can see the status that it is registered. You can also test the relay activation. I did here a small click and shows that it's activated. You can read the relay status. Okay. Now I'm just going to go ahead and call the device. Once I pick up the handset, this will off-hook and call 1000. And then I'll call into the device and I'm going to go ahead and pick up the handset. Hi, this is Joe. Hang up and let me go ahead and call into the device. Hello. check, check. With this device, you'll be able to dial up to four. Once the phone calls the first extension, it will go to the second extension if the first extension is not picked up. For other phone settings for this device, you have the onboard, internal, all the relays, and internal external relay. You could point to a door strike, outbound call, inbound and outbound call, doorbell, alarm, ring, and ring flash. The off-hook dialing delay was one second. So as soon as I went to go pick up the handset, it immediately dialed 1000. It's changed to six. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and pick up the handset again and basically count. One, two, three, four, five, six. Okay. And there you have it. Back to you, Mary. Mary Cheney: Thanks, Joe. And I can say this is a very sturdy device.
