FINALLY Painting the Ex-Formula 1 Car! | F1 RESTORATION Part 3

It's finally time to paint our former Formula 1 car! The 1997 Williams FW19 showcar chassis no.1 is being returned to period correct Rothmans livery and the restoration process continues with the first layers going down. This is going to be quite the transformation! The F1 car arrived at ‪@TheShmuseum‬ last Christmas, and we've been distracted along the way by other projects like the Renault Clio V6 complete colour transformation, but we're back at Godleman's for the full body paintwork to be done to the Williams. This particular car was the first showcar from the 1997 year, the last year that the team won the championship, and over the following years featured different liveries like that of Winfield and BMW Compaq. However, we've always had the plan to bring it back to Rothmans. The parts were all disassembled a few months ago at TDF, masters of F1 car restorations, but now it's time to get them painted correctly, and prepare it to be put back together, receive all the sponsor logos, and ultimately return to the garage.
