There's abundance of food, wine and a newfound cosiness abounds. We cook more. We plan and prepare for the months ahead. We walk through the forests and breath in the cool, crisp air. We light fires and roast chestnuts. The villagers harvest their olives and grapes, making sublime olive oil and even better wines! Everything becomes softer...gentler and seems quite magical. I love this time of the year, despite the fact that it also makes me sad to know that I will soon leave and David is feeling it too...for the first time!
