In this video, Dr. Carla Natalucci-Hall offers a summary of EMDR (i.e., eye movement desensitization & reprocessing), including its history and how it's used for the treatment of trauma and PTSD. She then provides an explanation of how she and others have adapted this helpful technique for performance enhancement in many different areas of functioning, including athletics, test-taking and public speaking. At the end of the video she demonstrates the technique on me (in my efforts to improve my guitar-playing ability) with the software she uses in her practice with patients. -------------------- Carla Natalucci-Hall, Psy.D. has been practicing clinical psychology in private practice since 1996. She uses EMDR, Mindfulness & CBT for Anxiety, ADHD, Small t-traumas & PTSD. She has also developed a unique protocol for EMDR & ADHD. She works with high school & college students to help with their transitions and challenges. She developed The Transitions program for students in high school & college to help optimize their experiences & success.
