Course: ENDOSCOPIC SINUS SURGERY COURSE Module 3: Advanced Rhinology. Topic 1: Recurrent Extensive Nasal Polyposis. Prof. Richard Harvey’s session on his management of patients with recurrent nasal polyposis. Professor Harvey is based at the University of NSW and Macquarie University. He is a Rhinologist (nose, sinus, allergy and endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery) at Macquarie University and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney and is the program head of Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery at the Applied Medical Research Centre of UNSW. He has authored over 250 publications, books, book chapters and completed his PhD in trans-nasal skull base surgery. He has presented over 500 lectures and talks on sino-nasal disease management. He is the current Editor-in-chief of the Australian Journal of Otolaryngology and associate editor for the Cochrane ENT disorders group. Along with training surgeons in both developed and emerging countries, Richard runs a series of courses with Sydney every year to further Rhinologic education and training in Australia. Originally presented on 11th Dec 2020 -session 12, as part of the GR-ESS 2020 event, a two day event covering all aspects of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (day 1 – 11th Dec 2020) and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery (day 2 – 12th Dec 2020). Global Rhinology Network is a registered academic non-profit organisation with a mission to foster surgical training in the field of Rhinology and Skull Base surgery. The concept of the organisation has evolved through an annual international live surgical webcast. The LIONESS established by Mr. Ashok Rokade with the strong support of participating surgeons in association with the lauded LION foundation. Prof. Christos Georgalas, Prof. Wilko Grolman, Dr. Robert Vincent, and Mr. John Oates were instrumental to see the LIONESS take-off in 2014 and to reach surgeons from more than 40 countries.
