Got a tongue ring for my fifty-third birthday. My mom was very strict so while we were allowed to pierce our ears no other piercings were allowed. When I went to pierce my third child's ear at the age of 26 I decided to get multiple piercings in my ear. I put one in the cartiledge of one ear and added two to the lobes of each ending up with seven piercings. Now at 26 I had three children and was gainfully employed but my mom hit the roof just the same and i got a tongue lashing to remember.
