This week's episode debunks many of the misconceptions, myths, and misrepresentations about Camp Branch Acres legal status. I will go through state law, federal law, legal resources from law schools and state law libraries, and case law from Texas. I also have a couple audio clips that show the confused or dishonest misrepresentations from our chair Kelle Rahm regarding our legal status. Case law is at the end, for anyone this is interested - but I put it at the end for people who are not interested in other cases. I figure the "I have a paralegal degree" secretary might be interested. You notice that "I have a paralegal degree" is a lot harder to say than "I'm a paralegal". Could that have anything to do with the paralegal's creed? https://chalaw.com/document/TexasPara... - hmmm, look at all of that honor and honesty stuff in there https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/do... - chapter relating to unincorporated nonprofit associations https://cbapoa.org/documents/UNA%20In... - great info from UT Law https://cbapoa.org/documents/Unauthor... - unauthorized incorporation attempt that listed their nonprofit purpose as the same for CBAPOA https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/ - their incorporation was never federally tax exempt or "registered as a nonprofit" with the IRS either. https://cbapoa.org/documents/Ballots/... - just trying to show that Kelle stating this was a vote to rescind or not rescind an allegedly forged document is nonsense.
